Northern Rangsit Golf Club

Course design uses bunkers and water hazards to create various challenges. The absence of forced carries makes the course suited to golfers of all levels. However,  good scoring requires shot accuracy and proper club selection into the greens. Wind, especially in the afternoon, can dd to the golf difficulty. There are no hills, trees, nor buildings to block the air.

The first nine holes have hazards on both sides of the fairways requiring straight tee shots. Hybrids or long irons are good tee-off club selections as errant shots mean sand or, worse, water hazards.

The eighteenth hole is the Northern Rangsit signature hole in terms of beauty and difficulty. Surrounded by water, the putting green stands out amidst spectacular scenery. An accurate second approach avoids the watery hazards around the green island, which intimidate less experienced golfers and trap professionals in sand hazards.

A renovated clubhouse with good lockers and a local Thai restaurant are pluses. Decent maintenance conditions, fewer golfers than most courses, and economical green fees make Northern Rangsit worth considering as part of a Bangkok golf holiday.
