Khao Yai Golf Information
Play at top golf courses in the Khao Yai area!
Escape from busy Bangkok and enjoy golf in Khao Yai among beautiful mountain scenery, cooler temperatures, and a relaxing and clean environment. Khao Yai is a world apart from the other better known Thailand golf destinations. The whole area has an alpine feel to it. This is not just because it’s hilly and cooler than the central Thai plains, but also because it sports dairy herds, numerous chalets, and vineyards and wineries.
Khao Yai is Thailand’s oldest and second largest National Park covering an area of more than 2000 square kilometers and sports mountains over 1300 meters in height. The park is a UNESCO World Heritage site and lies in the mountain range just east of Bangkok. There’s plenty to do other than play golf in Khao Yai so be sure to include some exploring of the area around your golf resort.
The cooler climate of Khao Yai has made it popular among Bangkok golfers, however it’s still relatively unknown by international golf tourists. Bangkok on the other hand is well known for some of the best golf in Thailand. Khao Yai - Bangkok (2-Destination) Golf Package Detailed Itinerary...

Khao Yai Golf Holiday Destination Information
The natural environment of thickly forested hillsides, rushing streams, and cascading waterfalls provides a haven for golfers. A vast array of wildlife, including tigers and other big cats, all co-exist in the park’s forest along with larger residents such as elephants and black bears. Bird life includes hornbills, pheasants, eagles and many smaller species, both resident and migratory. Tigers are only seen on very rare occasions but sightings of deer, birds, monkeys and some of the smaller cats are all fairly common. In recognition of its unique natural character, fauna, and wildlife, Khao Yai has recently been named a World Heritage site.
While popular with local Thais, not many Thailand golf visitors know about golf in Khao Yai. The area lies mainly in Nakhon Ratchasima Province (near Korat), but also includes parts of Saraburi, Prachinburi and Nakhon Nayok provinces. At the park’s borders, there are numerous golf resorts, hotels, and of course championship golf courses. Accommodation around Khao Yai is plentiful and ranges from inexpensive lodges to 5-star golf resorts.
The Khao Yai golf courses are all set amidst breathtaking surroundings, and an opportunity that should not be missed. Taking only 2 hours by car from Bangkok by well-maintained super-highway, golfing in Khao Yai can be the basis of a weekend getaway or as an added golf destination to a Thailand golf holiday spanning several locations.
