Dynasty Golf & Country Club

Dynasty Golf & Country Club is one of the many rice-paddy courses built surrounding Bangkok during the 1990’s Asian Tigers boom era. The location is 90 minutes west of downtown Bangkok. The regulation 18-hole track plays to a par-72 and is just shy of 7000 yards. Opened in 1993 and one of only a few Dennis Griffiths’ designs (e.g., Thai Country Club, Summit Green Valley Chiang Mai, and Chatrium Soi Dao Golf Club), the original layout used imported Bermuda turf from the USA.

Planted trees and flowers make for a pleasant and environment. Different species of trees and a wide variety of flowers ensure various colors all year round. A plethora of local birds calls Dynasty their home, which also adds to the countryside atmosphere.

Each hole at Dynasty provides different challenges and layouts, including a wide choice of lengths depending on the selected tees. Wide fairways and oversized greens feature at Dynasty and being a flattish paddy field; water comes into play on all but the 5th and 9th holes.

Dynasty’s course maintenance is only average, and the facilities show their age, including clubhouse and basic locker room. The clubhouse restaurant serves most Thai and Chinese dishes typically found at other golf courses.  A good fleet of golf carts, well-trained caddies, and low green fees more than make up for any shortcomings. Dynasty is popular with Thais and Korean golfers, so be sure to check availability in advance or book through a knowledgeable golf tour operator.
