The town started out as a fun place for the service men to enjoy R & R and the nightlife. Over the years it has grown, and has now sprung up as an exciting city with a large number of excellent hotels, shopping malls and restaurants.

Nightlife is still very popular; however, another attraction now is the large number of excellent golf courses all within a short drive.
