Environmental waste areas and straightforward holes are the emphases of most holes at the Waterside Course. Course design is strategic, with several lakes and creeks in play. At over 7,400 yards, the back tees challenge the best golfers. At the same time, other tees down to 5,000 yards are available and offer enjoyment for players at any level.

Fairways are grassed with the latest Paspalum grass, while greens are ultra-dwarf Bermuda grass. Water frames the last three holes of each nine, and all of the greens are flush with the fairways making getting up and down a realistic strategy for most players.

Some of the most notable holes include the 17th, which is a long 600-yard par-5 that gives big hitters the option to cut across a dogleg left over water to reach the green in two or shorter hitters a layup but still challenging shot over a deep ravine to make the green in regulation. The lone tree is well left of the green and a good target if playing a layup shot.

The final hole is a great finishing hole playing around the large lake in front of the clubhouse. The 420-yard par 4 is a monster for any golfer, especially playing into the prevailing winds. Many rounds will be settled here with the rare birdie possible, but bogeys or worse are more likely.

The Waterside clubhouse is of modern contemporary design and has all the facilities of a top golf club. The clubhouse features a 180-degree view of the surrounding valley. From the terrace, golfers can see how the course, lakes, creeks, and landscaping blend in with natural land formations.

The well-stocked pro shop, excellent locker rooms and changing areas, and top-quality restaurant serving Thai and international items add to the overall exceptional experience. There is an 18-hole putting “course” next to the clubhouse that can be “played” for a small fee and is a fun way to settle some bets. The practice green is next to the starting area between the first and tenth holes.
