Sawang Resort & Golf Club is located 1 hour from Hin Hin in neighboring Petchaburi province. Surrounded by rice fields and fruit tree orchids Sawang plays over rolling hills. The Hua Hin golf course a good alternative to the busier resort courses in Hua Hin itself.
The 27 hole layout looks like it has always been there with a mixture of both water and tree lined holes. Overall Sawang is an enjoyable course with generous fairways that appeals to all standards of player, but with a few surprises for the lower handicapper looking for some challenge.
The East - South combination is the best routing. Hole 2, a 535 yard dogleg par 5 is one of the better holes as is the 407 yard par 4 17th which plays over water to an island green.
Course conditions are average and what is expected in a rural environment setting. The clubhouse, locker rooms, practice areas are all adequate for the Hua Hin golf visitor. Sawang is a good choice for those who want to experience golf in Hua Hin without all of the tourists.
