Yay Dagon Taung Golf Club Description:
(nice course in the foothils outside Mandalay)

Mandalay is the second biggest city in Myanmar. Its a beautiful place with its focal point being the old Mandalay Palace. Not too far out of town, about a 25-minute drive is the mountain country. At the foothills of these mountains is the Yay Dagon Taung Golf Resort – Waterfall Mountain.

Yay Dagon Taung Golf Resort (the waterfall course) is a 27 hole facility established in 1996. The design is not complicated. The primary challenge is long and narrow fairways which play to fast greens. However, the site is reasonably flat, offering an enjoyable experience for players of all abilities. Hole routing is through wooded terrain, with the Shan Mountain Ranges visible on every hole. The surrounding mountains are dotted with temples and pagodas, providing a serene backdrop for golfers to enjoy. Towards the end of the year when the weather is mild, the trees have vibrant colors, which makes the views even more spectacular.

Facilities are not the reason golfers play Yay Dagon; it's the scenery and convenient location. Nevertheless, a day out at Waterfall Mountain will be a pleasant Mandalay golf experience.

Recent trip to Phuket, everything organised by Golfasian, except flights. 3 courses in 3 days, all went without a hitch, from Pick up at Airport straight to the 1st course with plenty of time to spare till our Tee off thanks to their timely pick up and suggested Tee time. All on ground from then on went like clockwork, pick up at hotels, drop off at the courses and then back to the hotel. The first part of my trip was a golf trip that was changed significantly due my traveling companion change of plans. Bee handled all the changes, including changes to courses played and hotels in multiple cities, quickly and efficiently. The second part was holiday only with my wife and 2 friends. Golfasian handled our 3 country, 4 city visits exceptionally well. They arranged tours and quickly responded to several changes we made both before and during the trip.
