Our tour party landed back in Aus last Friday after the completion of this year’s golf trip to Pattaya.
Just a quick note to thank all the team at GolfAsia for another perfectly delivered golfing and cultural experience.
All of the boys had an absolutely fantastic time. We set a tough tournament schedule this year of 10 rounds in 12 days but I am pleased to say that except for 1 player who took a late night fall from the notoriously dangerous Pattaya sidewalks and missed 1 round all other players turned up for all 10 rounds on the itinerary. This was no mean feat considering that for many the window between the end of the previous the nights gallivanting and the next day’s bus pick up for the days golf was in most cases a little more than a few hours.
A special thanks to our Drivers. They did not miss a beat all trip and ensured all aspects of the trip went exactly to plan.
The new courses we added to our itinerary this year were absolutely brilliant. A slight exception with Eastern Star which was still a very good, tough layout but was a little lacking in condition on some greens but still well worth a visit. Amongst the many highlight courses the vote for the biggest thrill from all the boys was easily the Wangjuntr Highland course. From a golf purists perspective the greens might be unnecessarily over the top with some ridiculous 10-15 foot tiers, bunkers, grass mounds and in a few cases even water hazards set smack bang in the middle of gigantic greens but regardless this course must be seen to be believed.
Talk of next year’s trip is already underway, possibly a new venue this time around, maybe Phuket so will be in contact later in the year to get some quotes underway.
