Summit Green Valley is very difficult to par, especially from the back tees at 7200 yards. The golf course features an abundance of well-placed sand bunkers and lots of water that can come into play on nearly every hole on the course. The fairways, lined with palm trees, seem wide, but golfers must be careful in that water hazards, and bunkers are plentiful in the landing areas, thus making the fairways narrow and leaving no room for wayward shots. The greens are large, receptive to approach shots, and putting speed is moderate to slightly fast. However, course length, numerous elevation changes, and prevailing wind makes Green Valley a tough but fair challenge to golfers of all skill levels.
The most memorable hole is the 416 yard, par 4, 9th. The tee shot must carry over water, and the fairway has sand traps left and right at the landing area. The 2nd shot is also over water to an elevated island green encircled by big palm trees.
The clubhouse provides full features and services including a polite & professional staff, well-stocked Pro Shop, dining & refreshment areas, locker room facilities, and massage services.
Summit Green Valley is a good choice for all golfers in Chiangmai. Due to the convenient location near the airport and town center, this course fits perfectly for those wanting to get in a game on the same day of their Chiang Mai arrival or departure.
