Ta Shee Golf & Country Club is a 27-hole parkland complex in Daxi District, Taoyuan, roughly an hour from Taipei. The holes are arranged as three nines: Kingfisher (East) and Egret (Center) form the main 18-hole championship course, while Thrush (West) is a shorter, flatter nine that is floodlit.

The championship course plays to par 72 and about 7,150 yards from the back tees, with a more forgiving length for amateurs. Robert Trent Jones Jr. renovated the layout at the end of the 1990s, reworking lakes and hazards, adding and removing bunkers, renewing the greens and installing new drainage with sand-capped fairways. The undulating 250-acre property is lined with mature camphor and ficus trees, and ponds and deep bunkers shape the strategy. The par-5 5th is regarded as a signature hole, and the long par-3 9th is guarded by bunkers shaped like seagull wings.

The renovation prepared the club for the 1999 Johnnie Walker Classic, won by Michael Campbell, with Tiger Woods finishing sixth. The BMW Asian Open followed in 2001 and 2002. Top100GolfCourses ranks Ta Shee first in Taiwan and 75th in Asia.

Caddies and golf carts are available, and the clubhouse has a restaurant. The Westin Tashee Resort stands next to the course, which makes it a convenient base for a golf stay in northern Taiwan.
