Luisita Golf Club

Roughly a two and half hour drive from Manila, or just 52 minutes North of Angeles City, Luisita Golf and Country Club is one of the oldest golf courses in the country, having opened for play in 1967.

This 18-hole championship course, was originally designed by Robert Trent Jones Senior.

The golf course has 18 holes with greens of primarily Tifdwarf and fairways of Tifton 419. However portions of the course's fairways has been overtaken by Zoysia and other indigenous grasses. The greens existing in 2018 were actually originally planted in 1968.

It has been recently renovated, so you can enjoy it in any weather, all year round.

Several lakes and creeks ensure players are kept on their toes throughout their round, and there is no escaping a few water hazards along the way.

In addition to the water, strong winds can pick up at any time, making a big difference to club selection. There is great landscaping here which is breathtaking.

It's quite an easy course if you're not a low handicapper, although wind is sometimes a factor. There are no crowds, no waiting, and best of all very private.

The President’s Cup has been staged at is Luisita Golf and Country Club and it is certainly one of the top golf courses in the country.
