Overlooking Mandalay Hill

Shwe Mann Taung Golf Resort offers a truly unique golfing experience, conveniently located just a scenic 15-minute drive from the vibrant heart of Mandalay. Perched on a gentle hill, the resort provides breathtaking panoramic views, including a glimpse of the historic Golden Palace grounds. Originally established during the British colonial era, Shwe Mann Taung holds the distinction of being the first of Myanmar's venerable courses to undergo a comprehensive renovation. Today, it proudly presents a modern parkland layout, meticulously maintained with state-of-the-art turf and an efficient irrigation system, ensuring a delightful round for every visitor seeking a blend of history and contemporary golfing pleasure.

While the Mandalay golf course measures a modest 6,564 yards from the championship tees, what it may lack in sheer distance, it more than compensates for with strategic challenges that will test golfers of all skill levels. Shorter hitters will find ample opportunities to score well, with many par-saving chances and even the occasional birdie within reach. For the more accomplished players, the par-5s can be attacked in two shots, opening the door for multiple birdies or even an eagle. However, it's crucial to approach each shot with careful consideration; the course plays tight, and without thoughtful strategy and precise club selection, a big score can easily materialize, making every decision on the course all the more rewarding when executed correctly.

The distinct character of Shwe Mann Taung truly shines through in its two nines, each offering a different golfing personality. The front nine, revitalized in 2014, features the established charm of Bermuda grass, while the back nine, comprehensively renovated in 2017, showcases the latest in turf technology with Zoysia on the fairways and ultra-dwarf Bermuda adorning the greens. This thoughtful blend of different grasses contributes to a special and memorable golfing journey. For those seeking an unforgettable round with a touch of local charm and stunning vistas, combined with a course that rewards thoughtful play rather than brute force, Shwe Mann Taung Golf Resort is an exceptional choice for your next golfing adventure.

50 kilometers South of Mandalay on the road to Bagan

Myotha National Golf Club in Myanmar is an extraordinary golfing destination, offering an experience unlike any other in Southeast Asia. Sprawling across a vast 688-hectare expanse, our 18 holes present a truly remarkable layout that stands as the finest in Myanmar, by a significant margin. We are proud to hold ourselves to the highest standards, rivaling the top courses across the region, and are confident that our championship standard will even attract professional Asian Tour events. While it plays a formidable 8,000 yards from the championship tees, a challenging test for even the most seasoned golfers, we also offer a more accessible experience from the forward tees, making it a rare course that truly plays easier for those with shorter swings.

Nestled within an emerging industrial zone, just 50 kilometers south of Mandalay, Myotha National Golf Club has been sculpted into a natural landscape of dramatic cliffs, canyons, and impressive 40-meter elevation changes. You'll find two deep and captivating arroyos winding through the course, with many holes intricately designed around these stunning natural features. The environment here is remarkably unique for Asia, characterized by year-round dry conditions, robust desert flora, and exposed surface rocks, creating a landscape more reminiscent of the American Southwest than a tropical jungle. This distinct terrain, coupled with our wide Zoysia Zeon fairways and meticulously undulating Champion Bermuda greens, ensures a truly memorable round for every golfer.

At Myotha National Golf Club, we believe in offering a diverse and engaging golf experience. Many of our greens are thoughtfully designed to be level with the fairways, featuring "salad bowl" surrounds that encourage strategic bump-and-run shots over purely target-focused play. The generally dry conditions promote firm and fast playing surfaces, providing ample roll-out for your shots, and players familiar with links-style golf will feel right at home. For those who enjoy a bit of adventure, our standout holes, like the S-shaped par-5 3rd, the dramatic dogleg left 4th, and the par-3 5th with its charming waterfall, offer unique challenges and photo opportunities. Even our closing holes, the 'cross green' 17th and the challenging par-4 18th, are designed to test your nerve and precision, ensuring a grand finale to your round.
