Bali is not just a destination; it is a mood. Known globally for its surf breaks, ancient sea temples, and vibrant beach clubs, the “Island of the Gods” has quietly cultivated a collection of golf courses that are as visually stunning as the island itself. Here, you are not just playing golf—you are teeing off into the caldera of a dormant volcano, putting alongside the roaring surf of the Indian Ocean, and navigating fairways carved through rugged limestone cliffs. Whether you want the dramatic ocean views of Uluwatu or the cool, misty air of the central highlands, Bali offers a boutique, unforgettable golf holiday that perfectly blends world-class course design with the island’s legendary hospitality.
New Kuta Golf The Clifftop Links Perched on the dramatic limestone cliffs of the Bukit Peninsula, New Kuta Golf is a championship layout that offers a true “links-style” experience in the tropics. Designed by Ronald Fream, David Dale, and Kevin Ramsey, the course hosted the Asian Tour’s Indonesian Open shortly after opening. The front nine plays inland through rolling terrain and tropical flora, while the back nine brings you right to the edge of the ocean.
The “Amen Corner” of Bali (Holes 14, 15, and 16). The Par-3 15th is perched right above Dreamland Beach, where you can literally hear the surfers and the crashing waves as you putt.
Bukit Pandawa Golf & Country Club Short, Sweet, and Spectacular Located just down the coast from New Kuta, this is an 18-hole championship Par-3 course that will completely change how you view short courses. Designed by Bob Moore, it is luxurious, meticulously manicured, and framed by panoramic views of the Indian Ocean.
Handara Golf & Resort Bali Golf in the Crater To play Handara, you must leave the beaches behind and drive two hours into the central highlands of Bedugul. Set inside the crater of an extinct volcano at an altitude of 1,142 meters (3,700 feet), this Peter Thomson design is one of the most unique settings in Asia. The air is cool, the towering pines remind you of a European alpine course, and the misty mountains form a dramatic 360-degree amphitheater.
• Babi Guling:
The undisputed king of Balinese cuisine. It is a whole pig stuffed with turmeric, coriander, lemongrass, and garlic, spit-roasted over a fire. The crackling skin is legendary. Try Ibu Oka in Ubud or local warungs in Seminyak.
• Seafood at Jimbaran Bay:
Head to the beach at sunset, pick your fresh lobster and red snapper from the tanks, and eat at a candlelit table directly on the sand.
• Beach Clubs:
Bali invented the luxury beach club. Spend an afternoon at Potato Head (Seminyak) or Savaya (Uluwatu) for sunset cocktails, infinity pools, and world-class DJs.
• Uluwatu Temple:
Perched on a 70-meter cliff above the Indian Ocean, this is the best spot to watch the traditional Kecak fire dance at sunset.
• Ubud’s Rice Terraces:
Hire a driver to visit the Tegallalang Rice Terraces and the Sacred Monkey Forest. Ubud is the cultural and artistic heart of the island.
• The Healing Arts:
You cannot leave Bali without getting a traditional Balinese massage. It is a deep-tissue therapy using local essential oils that will perfectly soothe post-round muscles.

The Vibe:
This is Bali’s “Winter” and the absolute peak season. The skies are blue, the humidity drops significantly, and a cool ocean breeze blows across the island (around 27°C-28°C).
Golf Conditions:
Perfect. The courses are firm, fast, and incredibly comfortable to play.
The Vibe:
The humidity rises and the “monsoon” arrives. However, the rain often falls in heavy, short tropical bursts (usually at night or late afternoon).
Golf Conditions:
The courses (especially the coastal ones) drain very well, and they turn a vibrant, lush green. December and January are the wettest months. We highly recommend early morning tee times during this period.
Bali traffic is notorious; we provide the local “cheat codes.”
The drive from the southern beaches to Handara can take 2-3 hours depending on the ceremonial traffic (which is frequent!). Our VIP drivers know the back roads and the rhythms of the island to get you to the first tee on time.
