Dancoon Golf Club

Two distinct halves make up the Khon Kaen golf course. The front nine is a basic muni, with wide fairways and flat greens. The back nine has better holes and more challenge. There are four sets of tees of which the longest blacks play to shy of 7000 yards. 

Built on what has initially been farmland the course is quite open and flat. The fairways are generous and of a reasonable standard with some bare patches. The rough is relatively light with such sort grass that it may be difficult to determine where the fairway ends and the rough begins. The greens are of average size, reasonable quality, consistent, with undulations and slopes. Bunkers have plenty of sand in them. Water hazards feature on ten holes, none more so than the signature hole, the 11th, a par-3 which plays to an island green. Overall, Dancoon is a decent course to play.

The clubhouse has all the facilities you would expect; large locker rooms with showers and an open restaurant serving mostly Thai food. The attached golf resort is for locals. Dancoon is a favorite course for locals because of the low cost and convenient location.
