Amansara
Located just ten minutes from UNESCO-listed Angkor Wat, Amansara serves as a major cultural center in the most famous city in Cambodia, Siem Reap. This renovated gem of 1960s New Khmer architecture, which was once a home for King Sihanouk's visitors, now has 24 modern suites, a curved pool, a soaring circular dining room, and a holistic spa. The temples of Angkor serve as many people's enticing calling card and are a UNESCO World Heritage Site for good reason. These fragrant remains, which span an enormous viridian expanse of 400 square kilometers (150 square miles) and date from the ninth to the fourteenth century, whisper of the old Khmer Empire.
As part of the hotel's customized guest experience, Amansara offers tours and customized excursions to the many temples and symbolic sites found inside the Angkor Archaeological Park, including Angkor Wat itself, Bayon Temple, and Ta Prohm. The hotel's fleet of remorks (tuk-tuks), each with a private driver and an English-speaking guide, is used by a number of excursions as an atmospheric starting place for exploring Siem Reap.
