Borobudur International Golf & Country Club, located in the center of Magelang City offers decent golf with incredibly beautiful surroundings. A range of active volcanoes and mountains are viewable from most parts of the course. The par-72 track plays around a large lake and offers a good test even for professional golfers.

The Borobudur golf course has a large clubhouse with ample facilities. The clubhouse restaurant offers a variety of different local Javanese and international dishes at low prices. The pro shop stock is limited as the golf course does not get much tourist play.

Borobudur International Golf & Country Club is enjoyable both for beginners and professionals and it provides a driving range. Caddie service is adequate, though English could be better. Borobudur is the best choice for golf in the area and anyone visiting the famous temple region of Java.

We booked 3 rounds of golf with Golfasian from Australia — one round from Bangkok and two from Pattaya — and honestly, the whole experience was excellent.

From hotel pick-ups and drop-offs to transfers and tee times, everything just worked. It was seamless, well organised, and completely stress-free. We didn’t have to think about logistics at all — just turn up and enjoy the golf.

A special mention to Arina, who greeted us at RG City Golf Club. She’s part of the operations team and made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived. Little things like that make a big difference. She acted as our translator at times and can speak fluent Thai , English and even German.

Through her, we learnt about the regular golf events Golfasian runs almost monthly, which sound like a great option if you want organised golf with a good social vibe. Worth checking out their website for more details.

I’ll definitely be booking with Golfasian again for future golf trips to Thailand, Vietnam, and other parts of Asia. If you want a smooth, well-run golf trip where everything is taken care of, these guys deliver.

Used GolfAsian for a trip in February 2026 starting in Phuket, Thailand for golf in HCMC and Dalat, Vietnam. The sales enquiry process was smooth and easy. The itinerary planning was excellent and with perfect attention to detail. We had a single point of contact on arrival throughout our stay. He handled any minor issues or changes we needed to make without any fuss and was always available and responsive. All airport and golf course transfers were on time. Great experience from Golfasian

Pak Bagus took my booking and inquiries, then reverted with an itinenary. After a small tweak, confirmation was send, and a pament link came which was easy to execute

Upon arrival, we were greeted by Pak Bob who took care us throughout our stay.
From the daiyly pick-up, the golf registrations and taking some photos, he did it all

Even on our departure, Pak Bob checked us in at the airline counter and took us all the way to Security check/Immigration

Totally pleased with their service

Golfasian organised a 17 day trip to Vietnam including 4 games of golf, tours and internal flights to three cities and a cruise. The trip was seamless and everything was organised and executed perfectly. Our cruise was cancelled due to a Typhoon and the people at Golfasian instantly organised transport and accommodation for us they couldn’t have been more helpful. Spent a 9 day 6 rounds of golf trip organised by Golfasian. Bangkok and Hua Hin were the venues. Only good things to say, from the two hotels we stayed in to the six golf courses we played. Hotels were great and all six of the golf courses, three of which we hadn't played before, very memorable. And a special shout out for the excellent service in a late itinerary change due to an injury to one member of our party. Have used Golfasian before and hope to again in the future. Would highly recommend.

Golfasian has come through again, organising a fabulous golf tour to Hanoi and Da Nang. Our guides Simon and Tim and drivers were excellent.
Huy our tour director was extremely accommodating and customer focused, answering all our questions and schedule changes with ease ensuring we had the best holiday possible.
