Alta Vista Golf and Country Club
(Some of the most picturesque holes in the Philippines)
This Club opened in the ’90s, by one of the Cebu’s oldest families, the Aznar’s of Southwestern University. Located some 500 feet above the nearby beaches and just 5 miles from the heart of the City, Cebu's Alta Vista Golf Club occupies 60 hectares of a 400-hectare exclusive residential cum leisure development.
Gary Player’s Black Knight Design Group of South Africa commissioned to design a championship layout here, that offers an exciting challenge to the game of golf.

Cebu Country Club
(Gary Player re-designed and oldest course on Cebu)
The Cebu Country Club, which is the oldest golf course in Cebu, was established, by expatriates, among them American, British and Spanish back in 1928. The club initially only had nine-holes until the early 1960s, when another nine holes added to make it 18, with a Par 71.
In the ’80s, the renovation of the course, making it a Par 72.
Queen's Island Golf & Resort
Boasts beautiful views around the resort
Queen’s Castle Golf and Resort, located in the town of Medellin, Northern Cebu, has an 18-hole par 72 golf course, with a total yardage of 6,292 yards.
What makes these 18 holes a bit different, is they have used the top-rated Platinum TE Paspalum grass straight from the US. It is a softer grass, and very different from the usual carabao grass that is used at other golf courses in the Philippines.
The Iloilo Golf & Country Club
May be old but still challenging
The Iloilo Golf and Country Club, formerly and informally known as the Santa Barbara Golf Course in Brgy. San Sebastian, Santa Barbara, was built in 1907 by a group of Irish expatriates building the Panay line of Panay Railways.
It has endured many historical changes throughout it’s time, being originally a nine-hole course, and then they added another nine holes.

Verdamar Golf Club
Short course but with a unique par 6 on hole number two
Located in the oldest city in the Philippines, is the Verdamar Golf Club.
It is about two hours’ drive from Mactan Airport, and Cebu City just past Bogo. The club is a two-hour drive along cemented roads, along the coastline, and along some interesting mountain towns to Bogo.
