Asian Golf & More is now preparing to launch its own annual industry awards program.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Awards Program Director to develop, launch, and manage the Asian Golf & More Awards.
This is a full-time position with end-to-end responsibility for the awards program. The successful candidate will shape the overall structure and positioning of the awards, establish the nomination and voting process, develop the annual calendar and commercial model, lead the marketing strategy, build industry participation, and oversee the annual awards event.
The role will work closely with Golfasian management and our internal marketing, web, design, sales, and events teams. We are looking for someone who can provide clear direction, coordinate the different elements of the program, and take ownership of its long-term development.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop the overall concept, structure, positioning, and strategy for the Asian Golf & More Awards.
- Establish the award categories, nomination process, voting methodology, rules, and annual awards calendar.
- Work with our web and marketing teams on the awards website, nomination and voting systems, and supporting digital assets.
- Develop and manage the marketing and communications strategy for the awards.
- Build and manage relationships with nominees, partners, sponsors, suppliers, and other industry stakeholders.
- Develop the commercial model for the awards, including sponsorship, event participation, partnerships, and related revenue opportunities.
- Plan and oversee the annual awards event, including venue and supplier negotiations, budgeting, and overall coordination.
- Oversee the development of nominee and winner branding, trophies, certificates, and related materials.
- Manage the overall awards budget, project timeline, suppliers, and internal coordination.
- Develop the Asian Golf & More Awards into a credible, respected, and commercially successful annual program.
Ideal Candidate
We are particularly interested in candidates with previous experience working for an awards organization or developing and managing industry awards.
We will also consider candidates from events, conferences, media, hospitality, tourism, or related sectors who have experience managing complex commercial projects involving multiple partners and stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will bring:
- Experience managing or developing awards programs, or a closely related industry program.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Commercial experience, including sponsorships, partnerships, pricing, and supplier negotiations.
- Experience developing and implementing marketing and communications strategies.
- Experience managing events and external suppliers.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Confidence working with senior executives and industry partners.
- The ability to work independently and take ownership of a new initiative.
- A strong commercial mindset and the ability to develop a new concept into a structured and sustainable annual program.
Experience within golf, travel, hospitality, events, or media would be an advantage.
What We Are Looking For
This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who is comfortable building a new program from the ground up.
The successful candidate will initially focus on developing and launching the Asian Golf & More Awards and will then take long-term responsibility for managing, growing, and strengthening the program year after year.
