Hi {contactfield=firstname|Fellow Golfer},

Welcome to the October 2025 issue of the Asian Golf Traveler, the source for information about golf travel in Asia. Also, unique golf playing tips for South East Asia's tropical environment, announcements of golf travel promotions, and our latest subscription offer are all integral parts of today's newsletter.

We have just wrapped up four tournaments back-to-back, and the energy on and off the course has been fantastic. Players left not only with trophies and memories, but also with the kind of satisfaction that comes when everything is organized to perfection. You can get a sense of the atmosphere through the photo galleries now live on our Facebook page, and of course our 2026 tournament calendar is already filling up with what’s next.

October brings the Pullman Pattaya Invitational, followed by the Philippines Invitational in February and the Amari Skins Hua Hin Golf Week in March, with more lined up throughout the year.

But as much as tournaments make headlines, they’re just one part of what we do. The heart of Golfasian remains bespoke golf holidays, crafted for individuals, couples, groups of friends, or even corporate events where every detail matters.

After 27 years and more than 25,000 golfers traveling with us annually, we know that no trip is ever routine. With a 98.5% satisfaction rate, we’ve earned our reputation by treating every booking like the special occasion it is, because a golf holiday should never be left to chance.

DESTINATION OF THE MONTH:  Bangkok

Bangkok remains Asia’s must-play golf capital, offering an unbeatable mix of world-class courses and vibrant city life. Within an hour of the city center you’ll find layouts by Nicklaus, Norman, Dye, Faldo, and Palmer - each delivering championship-level golf with its own distinct character.

What makes Bangkok special is the balance. Tee off in the morning, then return to the city for a Thai massage, fine dining, shopping, or a night on the town. Everything connects seamlessly: transfers are easy, recommended hotels are in the heart of the action, and Golfasian’s team is always on the ground to make sure nothing is left to chance.

For golfers planning their first golf trip to Thailand - or for those returning for something new - Bangkok is the perfect starting point. It’s also the ideal hub for multi-destination journeys across Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, and beyond.

COURSE OF THE MONTH:
Alpine Golf & Sports Club

Widely regarded as Bangkok’s finest layout, Alpine Golf & Sports Club is a course that every serious golfer should experience. Designed by Ronald Garl, Alpine has hosted some of Asia’s biggest tournaments, including the 2000 Johnnie Walker Classic where Tiger Woods produced a legendary win.

The course itself is as challenging as it is beautiful. Undulating fairways, dramatic elevation changes, and fast-rolling greens test precision on every shot. Water hazards and beach-style bunkers come into play throughout, with the 7th and 11th holes - twin island greens - standing out as true signature challenges.

What makes Alpine remarkable is how it transforms Bangkok’s flat rice paddies into a lush, rolling parkland that feels worlds away from the city. Tall trees, rich vegetation, and bold earth shaping create a setting that is both scenic and demanding.

After the round, first-class facilities await with a superb clubhouse, excellent locker rooms, and two outstanding restaurants. For golfers seeking the ultimate Bangkok challenge, Alpine is simply a must-play.

ACCOMMODATION OF THE MONTH:
Sindhorn Kempinski Hotel Bangkok

Tucked away in Bangkok’s prestigious Langsuan district, Sindhorn Kempinski Hotel Bangkok offers golfers a rare balance of city convenience and resort-style tranquility. Overlooking leafy Lumpini Park, the property feels like an urban sanctuary, where every detail is designed for comfort and understated elegance.

Spacious suites with floor-to-ceiling windows provide light-filled retreats, while the renowned Sindhorn Wellness by Resense offers one of the most extensive spa and wellness facilities in the region. A rooftop infinity pool, Michelin-recommended dining, and attentive service add to the sense of refined indulgence.

For golfers, the location is as practical as it is stylish. Within easy reach are Bangkok’s top courses, including Alpine Golf Club, Thai Country Club, and The RG City Golf Club - making the hotel an ideal base for a tailored golf holiday. After a round, return to world-class relaxation before stepping out to enjoy Bangkok’s vibrant city life.
