We’re kicking off the month in style with two big events back-to-back - starting with the 10th Anniversary of the Centara World Masters Golf Championship in Hua Hin. What began as a single tournament has grown into a global tradition, bringing together over 3,700 golfers from 25 countries over the past decade. This year, more than 450 players are teeing it up across Black Mountain, Pineapple Valley, and Springfield - a trio of world-class layouts that continue to make Hua Hin one of Asia’s top golf destinations.
Hot on its heels, we head to Pattaya for the Avani Pattaya 2-Ball - an event that’s all about fun formats, great company, and playing some of the best courses on the Eastern Seaboard. Head over to our Asia golf event calendar to see all upcoming events.
This month, we also want to shine a light on a place that’s still under most golfers’ radar - Yunnan, China. If you’ve never heard of Spring City Golf & Lake Resort, or haven’t seen the views from 3,000 meters above sea level at Jade Dragon Snow Mountain Golf Club in Lijiang, you’re in for a surprise. Add in Kunming’s Sunshine Golf Club, and you’ve got a serious case for adding Yunnan to your golf travel wish list. Contact us for trip ideas.
Also, if you haven’t yet, now’s a great time to tune into our podcast - we’ve added lots of new interviews with golfers and industry friends sharing real stories and insights from across Asia. You can find it on your favorite platform including Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon Music, YouTube, Buzzsprout, and many more.
And whether you’re planning to escape the cold (hello to our Aussie and Kiwi friends) or you’re looking ahead to a winter break (for those up north), now’s the time to start planning. Courses are in fantastic condition, it’s quiet out there, and the best prices are right now. Contact us to start planning your next golf holiday to Asia.
We’re also proud to share that Golfasian has once again been nominated for the 2025 World Golf Awards. If you’ve traveled with us before and enjoyed your trip, we’d truly appreciate your vote. Every vote counts, and your support helps us continue doing what we love - creating unforgettable golf holidays across Asia.

DESTINATION OF THE MONTH: Yunnan
Tucked away in China’s southwest, Yunnan is a hidden gem that’s fast emerging as one of Asia’s most stunning golf destinations. With dramatic mountain landscapes, crystal-clear lakes, and spring-like weather year-round, Yunnan offers a golf experience unlike anywhere else.
The region is home to some truly world-class courses. Spring City Golf & Lake Resort, perched above the shimmering waters of Yangzong Lake, is consistently ranked among Asia’s top golf resorts. In Kunming, the Sunshine Golf Club blends lush parkland design with modern flair. And for those looking for something truly unique, Canghai Golf Club in Dali delivers jaw-dropping golf at over 2,000 meters above sea level - complete with views of snow-capped peaks and Tibetan-style villages.
Off the course, Yunnan’s rich cultural mix and relaxed pace offer plenty to explore. Wander through ancient towns like Dali or Lijiang, sip Pu'er tea at its source, or take in the spectacular scenery of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. With fresh air, quiet fairways, and an authentic feel, Yunnan is ideal for golfers who want something a little different - something memorable.

COURSE OF THE MONTH:
Spring City Golf & Lake Resort
Located just outside Kunming and perched above the tranquil Yang Zonghai Lake, Spring City Golf & Lake Resort is widely regarded as one of China’s - and Asia’s - top golf destinations. With two championship courses designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. and Jack Nicklaus, the resort offers a perfect mix of scenic beauty and serious golf.
The Lake Course, a Robert Trent Jones Jr. design, winds along the lake’s edge with wide fairways, thoughtful bunkering, and dramatic views from nearly every hole. Ranked China’s #1 golf course by China Golf Digest and one of the Top 100 Courses Outside the US by Golf Digest, it’s both forgiving and visually unforgettable - ideal for players of all levels.
By contrast, the Mountain Course, designed by Jack Nicklaus, ups the challenge with elevation changes, tight driving holes, and undulating greens. Set against rolling hills and offering sweeping views of the lake and surrounding countryside, it’s a bold, strategic course favored by experienced golfers. Recognized as one of the top courses in China, it adds a thrilling edge to any Yunnan golf trip.
Spring City’s cool climate, well-trained caddies, and top-class facilities - including a luxury clubhouse, practice area, and golf academy - round out the experience. Whether you're looking for breathtaking views, serious golf, or both, Spring City belongs on every golfer’s Asia itinerary.

Meet Harry, part of the Sales & Reservations team at our Golfasian Hanoi office. With a background in Hospitality Management, Harry found his way into the golf world a few years ago - and hasn’t looked back since. “I got introduced to golf through work, and I’ve really grown to enjoy it,” he says. “Now I’m working on improving my game and hoping to play at a higher level soon.”
Harry is passionate about travel, especially to Europe, and loves staying active. When he’s not in the office, chances are he’s out playing football, hitting the badminton court, going for a swim, or at the gym after work. He enjoys the focus and discipline golf requires, and appreciates how the sport constantly challenges both mind and body.
Whether he's helping clients plan their next golf trip to Vietnam or sneaking in a few practice swings of his own, Harry brings a friendly, energetic presence to the Hanoi team - and always has a good travel tip or two to share.
