Golfasian, South-East Asia’s leading and fastest growing Golf Travel Company is looking for a Country Manager – Vietnam to support our business growth and rebuilding of Golfasian Vietnam reporting to Golfasian General Manager.
Responsibilities include:
- Maximize company turnover and profitability
- Manage all local staff, consultants, and overseas agent
- Lead the operations team to ensure the highest level of service standards
- Develop new businesses and revenue streams
- Work with co-owners on marketing initiatives
- Lead product development to ensure that the offering of Golfasian is better than the competition. The key is creative and new products.
- Ensure the highest degree of client and employee satisfaction
- Set up and implement agreed country organization chart which includes setting up branch office/teams in key golf destination as needed
- Project management to ensure the success of each project
- Meet with potential clients, suppliers, partners, and other stakeholders by phone and meetings to promote, present and close loop on selling & marketing for the different projects
- Assist in the planning and execution of events which may include attending other events to promote GA projects/services. This will include working some weekends.
- For Golf Travel related sales – cooperate with clients to determine their needs and advise them of appropriate destinations, golf courses, accommodations, travel dates, and costs
- Issue quotations to and close business from interested parties
- Use promotional techniques and prepare offers to sell golf tour and tee time packages
- Maintain statistical and financial sales records
- Meet profit and sales targets
- Host VIP clients as required
- Work with GM to assist in the management of the finance and HR disciplines
- Develop business, operations improvement, new strategies and business plan execution for the company.
The ideal candidate will have strong entrepreneurial spirit, be adaptable as well as a creative problem solver who can think outside of the box, and still meet short term objectives while staying focused on long-term company success.
Outstanding leadership, proven financial stewardship, & excellent communication skills are a must.
Experience/Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a DMC / Tour Operator in Southeast Asia
- Degree in Hospitality, Travel and Tourism, Business or relevant field
- Ability to interact and communicate, and negotiate effectively
- Previous sales and/or direct marketing experience
- Good administrative and organisational skills
- Excellent written and spoken English language skills
- Fluent in English and Vietnamese is a bonus
- Strong leadership skills
- Smart appearance
- Excellent social skills
- Able to work unsupervised
- Personal travel experience will be considered an advantage
