Day 1: Arrive in Phuket:
Meet upon arrival at Phuket airport and transfer to hotel
Check in at hotel. Rest of day at leisure.

Day 2: Golf at Laguna Golf Club
Breakfast at hotel

Transfer to Laguna Golf Phuket (top resort course, host of 2009 Thailand Open) including cart and caddie.

Day 3: Phuket Discovery Tour
Breakfast at hotel

Our first excursion in the Pearl of the Andaman, and we will take an orientation tour of the most beautiful island in Thailand. Drive through various beaches that make Phuket such a popular destination. Visit Wat Chalong where Buddhist come to pay respect to the statue of former abbot and ask for special amulets. Stroll around the square shape pagoda where holy relic of the Lord Buddha is kept. Then drive to a cashew nut factory to learn why and how this plant help make Phuket a fortune town. Thai lunch at Kan Eng 2 restaurant. After lunch, we visit the pearl farm and Chinese temple where we learn about the miracle of each god before heading to the famous Phuket Old Town. Take a stroll around the Chino-Portuguese shop houses that stood over a century as a serious trading place but today a nice warm place to welcome tourists.

Day 4: Golf at Red Mountain Golf Club

Day 5: Andaman Coastline, Tsunami Center, Marine Life Tour

Check out from hotel and start journey along the west coast

Today we leave Phuket and drive to Khao Lak along the Andaman west coast of Thailand through the Tsunami hit area where the remains of the natural disaster can still can be seen.

Each year many local people take the turtle eggs for food with the result in the decreasing number of turtles in Andaman Sea. The Princess and the Navy have seen the opportunity to preserve not only the turtle but also other marine life. We visit the Chulabhorn Underwater Park Conservation Center exhibiting the Andaman marine life and the Sea Turtle Conservation Center where the Navy rescue and look after all kinds of turtle and marine life to make sure all the green turtle lay the eggs and the cubs go into the sea safely. After our visit to Khao Lak, we proceed to our hotel in the Khao Sok National Park and time to relax with a Thai Massage in the jungle!

Day 6: Golf at Rajjaprabha Dam Golf Course

Day 7: Khao Sok Jungle Safari

Today we visit one of the oldest rainforests in the world and its limestone mountains located an area of 750 square kilometers. The Khao Sok National Park has become the great escape for those who seek nature and jungle life. We ride on the back of elephants and later canoe in a small gorge to explore the jungle and wildlife. Lunch at a local restaurant and then continue the drive to Rajjaprabha Dam that combines 5 major gorges covering the water area of 185 square kilometers. The dam is there to generate electricity and irrigation, but in recent years it has become one of the most spectacular and hidden gems in Thailand. The highlight of this tour is to take a boat trip to see the fascinating limestone caves, mountains and group of islands.

Note: Suggest good walking shoes, swimming suit and extra clothes to change.

Day 8: Weaving Village, Buddhist teaching, Ancient Temple, transfer to Hua Hin

Check out and continue the trip up north through the war route

We leave Khao Sok National Park and stop at the Pun Pin hand weaving village. Farmers always have supplementary earning apart from rice or rubber and Krajood or Bulrush grass is a common grass grown in the area where it can be used. We visit the handicraft village where farmers weave grass by hand. The need for no plastic makes Krajood products popular in the modern day. The new design and earth tone colors hand make weaving such as mats, purses and basket so popular. Continue on to visit Suan Moke, this temple purely concentrates on teaching the correct Buddhist philosophy and the former abbot spent years simplified the teaching, and his wise words of advice are all welcomed by most educated of Thai people. Lunch at local restaurant and continue the drive to visit Wat Prathat Chaiya, the oldest temple where Buddhism put down the grass roots and then on to the Royal resort of Hua Hin.

Day 9: Golf at Banyan Golf Club

Day 10: The Kind & Us Tour

Hua Hin and its neighboring resorts became a popular destination under the modernization policy by King Rama 5 who put down the railroad system in Siam. Visit the impressive royal railway station and follow the trail of the track that gave birth to many palaces along the way such as Klai Kungwon and Mrigatayawan palace. We will make a short visit to see Thailands oldest golf course, built by the Scottish Engineers in 1924 and named Royal Hua Hin Golf Course.

We visit the wooden Mediterranean style palace where the King used mainly for relaxation. Lunch at a local restaurant and continue to Lam Pak Bia Environment Research Center. This is one of 3,000 royal projects of the late King that used natural filtrations to purify city waste water before draining to the sea. After years of treatment, marine life has returned to live here at the clean beach. Take a long walk on the wooden boardwalk through the dense mangrove to see various tropical marine life. Visit the Pra Nakorn Khiri built in 1860 by the King whose name is so popular in Broadway hit “The King and I”. Take the cable car up and visit inside where King used to work and live and walk down to the local market where the Sweet Sticky Rice in Bamboo originated from.

Day 12: Floating Market & Kanchanaburi Tour

Check out and travel to the far west of Thailand

Today we drive north west to the floating market at Damnoen Saduak on the way to Kanchanaburi. This is the market that vendors use boats to carry goods to buy, sell or barter. We take a boat trip through the canal networks where lives of the local people have not changed much in years. Disembark at the riverside restaurant for a Thai food lunch before continuing the journey to Kanchanaburi.

Day 13: Bridge over River Kwai, Train on Death Railway and Hellfire Pass Tour

Today we visit the world famous Bridge over the River Kwai and its sad history, taking a stroll through the Kanchanaburi War Cemetery. POWs were brought down to River Kwai to build the bridge and railway which later became the famous Death Railway and Bridge over the River Kwai. Take a stroll to see broken bomb and broken bridge, before boarding the look-alike World War 11 train travel to Tham Krasae on the death railway. Disembark and lunch at the riverside restaurant overlooking the famous viaduct. This site cost many lives while constructing the wooden windings viaduct along the cliff. Continue by bus to the toughest construction site where the Australian POWs were forced to cut and open rocky mountain to make way for the train track. We visit the museum and let the pictures and tools tell the story and a must walk to the actual site of Hellfire Pass.
