Thailand Golf Expedition Trip Summary:
The 14 day best of “Thailand Golf Expedition” covers the four top golf destinations within Thailand; Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Kanchanaburi (River Kwai) , and Hua Hin. Seven of Thailand’s best golf courses including Thai Country Club (site of Tiger Wood’s PGA victory in 1997) and the Jack Nicklaus designed Springfield Golf Club in Hua Hin are included in the package. Top resorts in each destination have been selected to showcase authentic Thai lifestyle, unique service, and colonial period influences. In keeping with the expedition theme, all participants will get to experience unique soft adventure activities and explore various historical and cultural sights.
For example, viewing of the Bangkok waterways and seeing the traditional way of life by long-tailed boat, elephant riding through the Burmese jungle, river rafting on the Mekong River, visiting the world renowned “Golden Triangle”, trekking to “Hellfire Pass” in the Thai-Burma jungle, and up-close live Tiger feedings are all included in the once-in-a-lifetime Golf Lifestyle ExperienceTM tour. Special daily programs are available for non-golfers including Thai cooking classes, spa and massage treatments, and tours of famous sights and authentic floating vegetable and fruit market. The best of “Thailand Golf Expedition” culminates with a gala farewell party for all participants at a local seafood restaurant overlooking the Gulf of Thailand.
All land and domestic air transfers as well as most meals are included. Each trip is limited to a maximum of 12 participants with local guide ensuring personal service throughout. Thailand Golf Expedition Itinerary:
Bangkok - Chiang Mai – River Kwai - Hua Hin
Day 1: arrive Bangkok transfer to hotel, evening welcome dinner cruise
Day 2: golf at Subhapreuk Golf Club (Pete Dye design), full day Floating Market and Rose Garden excursion including lunch for non-golfers
Day 3: golf at Thai Country Club (#2 ranked course in Thailand, site of Tiger Woods PGA Victory in 1997, best clubhouse in Asia)
Day 4: full day “Best of Bangkok” sightseeing tour including visit to Grand Palace, Bangkok waterways, markets, city highlights and monuments, including lunch, transfer to Chiang Mai by overnight first class sleeper train
Day 5: arrive Chiang Mai and transfer to hotel, golf at Gassan Khuntan Golf & Resort (#2 course in Chiang Mai, challenging mountainous layout), evening Kantoke dinner and Thai dancing show
Day 6: full day sightseeing to "Golden Triangle" including visit to long neck hill tribe village and lunch viewing highest peaks in Thailand
Day 7: golf at Chiang Mai Highlands Golf Club (best course in Northern Thailand), full day Thai cooking class for non-golfers
Day 8: full day sightseeing including elephant riding, rafting, handicraft and hill tribe village visits, and lunch
Day 9: transfer to River Kwai by domestic flight to Bangkok and over land to River Kwai, sightseeing tour to Hell Fire Pass, WW II war memorial, and Allied POW cemetery, check into hotel, “theme” dinner at hotel
Day 10: morning golf at Nichigo Golf Club (best course in Kanchanaburi), afternoon visit to Tiger Temple Sanctuary
Day 11:, transfer to Hua Hin, afternoon relaxing on the beach
